Since 1998, Lety McCloud (called by one of her first customers an “organic cleaning machine”) has been cleaning homes and businesses in and around McLean County. Today, The Organic Cleaning Machine, Inc. (OCM) is still family owned. In addition to being rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau (BBB), many of our customers, including some that have been with us from the beginning, frequently refer us to their new neighbors and co-workers as well as provide references for our prospective customers. We are fully licensed and insured and our cleaning service teams are supervised.
OCM does not require a written contract or a time commitment. Most OCM customers prefer a weekly or bi-weekly cleaning schedule, but we will accommodate the cleaning needs of our customer’s homes and offices from daily to monthly and, if desired, on an annual contract. And, of course, we provide special occasions cleaning and one time gift cleaning.
Our fees are based upon the needs of each customer. In most cases, we first perform a deep cleaning of the premises at an hourly rate. After an agreed upon interval we will return and perform a maintenance cleaning. The time it takes to complete the maintenance cleaning will be used to establish a fixed amount as the cleaning fee. Having a fixed amount allows you to be able to leave the payment in the envelop we provide.
Most of our customers are not at home when we clean. Generally, our customers provide a key and the garage or alarm code to allow access to the premises. The two person cleaning team is let into the home by the supervisor. Upon completion the supervisor ascertains that the home is secured. We work with our customers to satisfy their security concerns.
We make every effort to be there when you want us. Generally, our expected arrival time for homes is early morning, late morning, early afternoon or late afternoon, Monday through Friday. Office cleaning is usually scheduled for weekday evenings or Saturday.

Each cleaning professional is screened, fully insured and has undergone weeks of intensive training designed to assure that they are capable of maintaining the OCM cleaning standards and that they understand that respect for the customer’s property and privacy is a critical part of the job.
No matter how hard we try to avoid them, accidents do happen. In the event that something is damaged, we will make every effort to repair or replace the damaged object immediately and to the customer’s satisfaction. Our employees are fully insured and when necessary, claims are made in a timely fashion. It is our policy that any damage, no matter how small, must be reported to the supervisor immediately so that we can notify our customer of the occurrence.
OCM guarantees our services. There are times, generally when communications fail, that we do not meet our customer’s expectations. If that should occur, a phone call to Lety or the office will set in motion the corrective actions. The any issue will be resolved at the customer’s convenience.
OCM’s corporate structure is responsible for the liability, the payroll taxes, the worker’s compensation and the benefits of all of our employees.
OCM’s cleaning team will have all of the equipment necessary to clean your home, but we do ask you purchase the supplies; we provide a list of suggested supplies for you at our first meeting. If you wish us to use other supplies, including environmentally friendly cleaning supplies, we will be happy to accommodate your wishes.
If our customer needs to reschedule due to an unavoidable circumstance, we ask to be notified us as soon as possible. With respect to holidays, OCM will call in advance of all holidays if it is necessary to reschedule. If our customer is going on vacation or on an extended business trip, we can arrange to clean their home just before they return.
